Hey we are on our way TOMORROW

Time has come for us to go.
Our Visas are up and we need to head North up to Grenada.
Stigs Yacht Synergi is pretty much all sorted out.
New Rudder, New Braai, A lazarette, Some extras inside and a bit of a polish

We decided to rent a Jalopy to go to see the GIANT Leather-back turtles.

The drive across to the East coast took about 3 hours (but only 75 km)
There was a lot of moaning from the back seat. Wayne and Tracy went with us. so there were 4 in the back seat. I drove so I was comfortable..... ag shame!

Once on the beach with a guide with red light we staggered around looking for turtles.

They started to crawl out the Sea at about 10pm, and by the time we left there were about 15 on the beach.
Once up on the beach it took about half an hour to get settled in and then dig a hole about 3 feet deep, lay 80 to 100 eggs, and then fill the hole, pat it down and go for a swim .
Quite Fantastic!

Tomorrow we head up to Grenada, about 90NM from Trinidad. We will leave at 14:00. it will take 12 to 14 hours to get there, so we will arrive early in the morning, get sorted and then try to get connected again. We plan to be there about a week before going up into the Grenadines.

I am really looking forward to some really clear water a bit of surfing. Trinidad has not been great for either. The water is very polluted and  Green with all the water from the Orinoco river.

Skippers SEXY Wife at the helm at the start of the race to Point Fortin, 30Nm South
We came 3rd ......last and so got a prize. How kind were they. The race was dead downwind ad our little 16 tons of rust was too relaxed to work too hard. And the Crew too lazy. We took Dan along, so fishing was more important. and we caught a small mackerel.

The Same sexy Babe getting interviewed for local TV. about cruising as a family
