Well hello,
We have been having a fabulous time in the USA. Started down in Fortt Lauderdale, rented a car, learnt quickly that driving on the left side was wrong, took some time trying to find the rear view mirrors. Each time I looked they were not in the right spot. Then my hand kept opening the door instead of changing gear ???
Most flippen confusing. I have it sorted now. Lucky!
Ok, so we drove from Fort Lauderdale, up to Fort Pierce, then on to Orlando where we had wonderful digs, thanks to RCI.
First stop was in Sea World, and the next 2 days at Universal Studios. Both a blast.
We are now back to cockroach motels, on our SA budget. Gerda is doing a wonderful job finding the best of the Rock bottom. I don't think we need fumigation just yet, but it was close last night at the Dayzin Motel in Tampa. Pretty sure you can pay by the hour, and discount if you don't mind old sheets.
We have also had dismal stops at Econo lodge in Fort Pierce. Super8 in Kissimmee not too kak.
Tomorrow we pick up our very own car. (a cool 2002 Chrysler Town & Country) and the take drive up to Dan in Madison. Dan has a small farm with gators and snapping turtles. That should be an education.

This was very traumatic for me, as I was flying away from Trinidad, from my baby, moored at The Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association. (I am still worried)

It is now a challenge for Gerda to find a Motel room daily, which is an Art learnt only with lots of internet searching. Alex recons even though we spend only one night, it is possible to DIE in only one night !!!!!!!!!!!!.........1
